So three years after I began to translate it, Ovid’s Heroines is officially out today. I got copies last week, and am really thrilled with it. It’s ended up a substantial 110 pages with my essay and notes and this lovely map Richard drew for me, showing all the locations where the Heroides are set…
If you’d like to buy a copy online, Amazon is (obviously) cheapest at £6.85 but I see Foyles are also doing a very reasonable deal at £7.26 (and they’re the good guys).
Followers of this blog will know I’m obsessed with holiday reading, so if any of you take the book on your own adventures to Rome or the Greek Islands, please take a snap for me!
You’ll also know that the release of Heroines means I have another due-date extremely imminent(!) So, though I’m plotting some launch events, they probably won’t be until at least July – I’ll let you know when I firm up my plans. Hope to be bringing you more news soon…
Fantastic Clare! Two big events in one month. Hope all goes well and I look forward to reading the book.
Clare, I’m reading it now. I love it. You’ve done a great job. Many congrats.
